The STARFISH project aims to improve safety and sustainability in the fisheries sector through innovative training methods.
The main objectives are:
Collect best practices: Prepare a dossier of good practices in education and training on safety and sustainability in the fisheries sector.
Develop a package of modern educational tools and methods: Create, for example, an e-learning platform with micro-training materials on safety and sustainability, accessible online or offline on mobile devices.
Promote immersive learning: Develop a ‘serious game’ to teach safety and sustainability in an engaging way.
Testing and validation: Test the educational tools, methods and game with target groups in the fisheries sector to ensure their effectiveness and gather feedback for improvements.
Train the trainers: Train the trainers to ensure effective dissemination and implementation of the training programme.
